The Timpson Bears completely dismantled their district-opener opponent with a final score of 53-0. The Grapeland Sandies never stood a chance. This game was all Timpson from the opening kickoff.

Five-star recruit Terry Bussey threw 11 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed four times for 60 yards and a touchdown. Vosky Howard had five carries for 22 yards and a touchdown. He also reeled in five catches for 47 yards. Running back JJ Garner carried the ball four times for 39 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Garner also caught two passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. Senior wide receiver Amari Bruton led the team in the receiving game with four catches for 90 yards and one touchdown. Shaheed Cross made his one reception count on a 47-yard touchdown catch.

The Bears continue to look excellent on the gridiron and have no intention of slowing down now. This week they will play host to the San Augustine Wolves. San Augustine has improved from their abysmal 0-10 record from last season but look for the Bears to walk all over the Wolves.

Timpson’s district schedule will ramp up until it culminates with the Battle of the Attoyac. Longtime rival Garrison appears to be the primary threat to Bears’ fourth consecutive district championship.
