Joaquin unable to overcome Garrison

The Joaquin Rams are struggling this season. They now find themselves on the back foot with a district record of 0-2 and an overall record of 0-5.

The Rams battled the Garrison Bulldogs last Friday night who, by all accounts, appear to be poised to make a deep playoff run. Garrison ended the night with a 49-20 road win.

Quarterback Justyn Brown completed one pass for a 21-yard touchdown to running back Gauge Jordan.

Jordan carried the load for Joaquin, rushing 29 times for 192 yards and a touchdown. Elijah Hardison had 15 carries for 75 yards.

With half the season behind them, Joaquin will be seeking a way to turn things around. It’s crunch time for the Rams. Playoffs are still a possibility, but they must remain focused on getting their first notch in the win column at this point.

This week they face the Grapeland Sandies. Grapeland currently holds a 2-4 record. Their 1-1 district record gives them a loose grip on the four seed for District 11.
