The Roughriders host the unbeaten Carthage Bulldogs tonight at Roughrider Stadium.  Center needs the win to remain in contention for a top playoff spot, but to do that, they would be the first team to beat Carthage in the regular season since October 7, 2016!  What an historic win it would be!

First Methodist Church Center invites the community to enjoy Trunk or Treat at 211 Porter Street, October 31 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. "Join the Joy." Bring your vehicle, decorate your trunk and hand out candy or stop by for some treats (no tricks).  Set up begins at 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot.

The 2023 Health and Fitness Fair which was scheduled for October 20 has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The Mammogram Units and Gulf Coast Blood Mobile will still set up at the Windham Civic Center for those who have made appointments. "We apologize for the cancellation."

A howling good time is expected as the Happy Tails Animal Shelter project hosts Howl-O-Ween from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, under the basketball pavilion at Portacool Park in Center. Admission is free and open to the public.

The members of the James Antioch community are serving a meal on Saturday October 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. They will have chicken and dumplings with cornbread and chilli with rice and crackers for $8.00 per meal.
