(UPDATED) Basketball playoffs: Boys from Center, Tenaha and Shelblyville advance; Tenaha girls lose

2A GIRLS
• The No. 6 Tenaha Tigers lost to LaPoynor today, 52-43, at Leon High School.
UIL 2A Regions 1 and 3 girls basketball bracket
4A BOYS
• No. 6 Center will play Spring Hill in the Tuesday in the Region 2 Quarterfinals.7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tyler Junior College.
On Friday, Center defeated Van, 52-36. The Roughriders (31-2) held Van to one point in the second period to break open what a been a one-point game early. Center led 24-12 at the half and 33-27 after three. Center used a 19-9 scoring advantage in the fourth period toput the game away. Center had three players in double-digit scoring: Kaleb Parks, 15; JaTeious Evans, 13; Reggie Daniels II, 10.
Spring Hill beat Mabank 49-31.
UIL 4A Regions 2 and 4 boys basketball bracket
2A BOYS
• No. 4 Tenaha will Woden 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville in the Region 1 Quarterfinals.
Woden beat West Hardin 62-32.
Tenaha and Woden are both in District 22. Tenaha and Shelbyville finished tied for first. Woden took fourth behind San Augustine.
Tenaha defeated Woden 57-49 on Jan. 12 and 71-55 on Feb. 6.
• No. 5 Shelbyville will Evavdale in the Region 1 Quarterfinals 7 p.m. Tuesday at Woodville.
On Friday, Shelblyville defeated No. 7 Pineywoods Community Academy, 76-68. The Dragons trailed 24-12 after the first period, but ralled to trail by just two, 37-35 at the half. Shelbyville built a 54-46 lead after three periods. Jay Bukley scored 27 for the Dragons. Cole Ferguson scored 18, Jordan Boykins, 17 and Ryan Bailey, 10 to pace Shelbyville.
Evadale beat Neches, 62-53, Friday.
