A pair of Shelby County boys 2A teams are appearing in the 2A Regional Semifinals on Friday, March 1, in Bryan.
Tenaha Tigers, runner up behind Shelbyville from District 22, will face the Grapeland Sandies, winners of District 20, at 6 p.m. Shelbyville is the defending regional champion, and Friday night, March 1, the Dragons will take on the Lovelady Lions, at 8 p.m., at Bryan High School. Lovelady is the runner-up team from District 20.
For the third year in a row, Shelbyville and Tenaha, both from district 22, are appearing in the AA Region 3 Tournament.
The winners of these games will meet for the region 3 AA championship at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 2. The state tournament will be March 7-9 in San Antonio.
