Shelbyville Dragons heading to Madisonville on Thursday for replacement game

7 p.m. Kickoff against Hallettsville Sacred Heart-Madisonville scheduled

UPDATE: Thursday night game in Madisonville is now cancelled for the Dragons, accoding to a statement released by David Benbow about 2 p.m. Wednesday.


Shelbyville Dragons head football coach David Benbow on Wednesday announced a replacement game for the one cancelled with West Hardin this week has been scheduled.

The Dragons are scheduled to travel to Madisonville on Thursday, Oct. 8, for a 7 p.m. Kickoff against Hallettsville Sacred Heart-Madisonville, at 811 South May St., in Madisonville.

Benbow said Shelbyville will be the visitors for the game. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. There will be no pre-sale tickets — all tickets will be sold at the gate.

The stadium has a seating capacity of about 700 on the visitors side, he said.

Due to COVID-19 regulations at West Hardin, Shelbyville High School’s varsity football game scheduled for Friday, October 9th against West Hardin High school was postponed for a later date, Shelbyville officials announced on Monday.
