Charles Cook, 83, of Grand Cane, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services were held, August 25, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Ron McClellon and Bro. Reginald DeLeon officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Mr. Cook was born August 30, 1933, in Joaquin, to Aubrey “Buster” Cook and Mildred Etoille Parker Cook. He served in the Signal Corps of the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Cook was a member of Toledo Bend District 8 Ministries and Gloster Baptist Church. He is survived by Wife: Carol Cook of Grand Cane, Louisiana, Daughter: Cherrie Cook-Flores and husband, Robert, of Grand Cane, Louisiana, Son: Christian Cook of Keatchie, Louisiana, Grandchildren: Derek Deas of Stonewall, Louisiana, Brittany Miller of Keatchie, Louisiana, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Parents: Aubrey “Buster” Cook and Mildred Etoille Parker Cook, Daughter-in-law: Deborah Miller. Pallbearers were Dan McBride, Dean Graner, David Long, Dwayne Restivo, Dave Means and Jim Roper. Honorary pallbearers will be Winter Case, Mack Vance, Taylor Burford and Hall Burford.
