Grill Fest fires up Friday and Saturday
Cook teams from Texas and Louisiana will be competing for prize money this weekend at the annual Grill Fest at the Shelby County Expo Center on Highway 7 East. And, there is still time to enter.
Cooking starts Friday evening along with the 42 Tournament and Washer Pitching Tournament. The “Open” Adult Beverage at 7 p.m. and “Open” Food Competition at 8 p.m. rounds out the evening.
Judging takes place Saturday starting with the Bloody Mary competition at 10 a.m.
The chamber thanks the many sponsors who have made the event possible including Farmers State Bank, Pilgrims Pride, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, Shelby Savings Bank, the City of Center, Rapid Payday & Title Loans, C&J A/C and Heating, Ace Hardware of East Texas, Baldwin Tree Service, Bob’s Pawn and Gun Shop, Cobb Vantress-Timberlake Farm, R&D Distributing, Timberwolf Lake Works, 4C Electric, Brock’s Rocks, H&R Block and Despino’s Tires.
