City of Center work session, regular meeting set for Monday

The Center City Council has two meetings scheduled for Monday, Sept. 10.

A workshop to discuss the budget and go over the city's capital improvement plan is scheduled for 4 p.m. A regular council meeting will follow at 5 p.m.in council chambers at Center City Hall when a public hearing will be held on the proposed 2019 fiscal year tax rate and budget.

Also on the agenda is consideration and possible action on using audit services from Axley and Rode and a budget change for renovation at 102 Childs Street. The council will also consider approving a route and street closures for the 2018 Center High School Homecoming Parade at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
