Shelby County resident catches record breaking Bluegill

Saturday, April 28th while fishing Lake Pinkston, Megan Mince (Gunn), caught a lake record Bluegill measuring 11.25 inches and 1.50 lbs using a minnow. Her record is being submitted into the Anglers Recognition Program at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Not only does she hold the current lake record Bluegill for Lake Pinkston but has beat both Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Bluegill records. Current Toledo Bend Record: 10.63" 1.12 lbsĀ  Current Sam Rayburn Record: 10" 0.75 lbs
