The Light and Champion to host After-Hours event Wednesday, March 21

Event runs from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Light and Champion will host the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce After-Hours event 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21.

The event will include guests being able to see The Light and Champion's press run at 5:45 p.m.

"Whenever we do a tour, seeing the press run is the highlight,” said publisher Steve Fountain.

The Light and Champion publishes each Thursday. It also produces the free Merchandiser publication each Tuesday.

Finger foods will be provided by Endless Possibilities Catering.

The event was rescheduled from March 8 to the 21st to accommodate coverage of the Shelbyville boys basketball team's game at the state final four in San Antonio.

“We are very excited to be hosting this event and look forward to the public and business community stopping by to visit,” said Fountain.

The Light and Champion is in its 141st year of operation and is Shelby County's oldest continuously running business.

The main office is located at 137 San Augustine St. in downtown Center. The press is housed on 201 Austin St.
