No. 11 Tenaha girls upset No. 2 Woden, 56-39

The No. 11-ranked Tenaha girls basketball held the visiting No. 2-ranked Woden Eagles to a single point in the seocnd period en route to a 56-38 home win Friday ngiht in a matchup of perennial 2A hoops powers.
The game was tied at 14-14 after the first period.
But in the second, Tenaha went on a 12-0 run to open up a 26-14 lead. Woden did not score until Brittany Thompson hit the second of two free throws with 1:34 left in the half. Tenaha went into the half up 28-15.
Destiny Whitehead had 17 points for the Tigers, and set the pace with several steals and by pushing the ball relentlessly upcourt.
Calica Roland added 13 and Arlicia Roland 10.
The Tigers were about as balanced as could be, scoring 14 points in each of the four periods.
