Ex-Roughrider Octavious Evans has catch as Boise beats Oregon in Las Vegas Bowl

Evans plays in every game as true freshman for No. 25 Boise State

Former Center High School wide receiver Octavious Evans capped his his freshman season at Boise State Saturday by making one catch for 8 yards in Boise State's 38-28 win over Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Evans, a true freshman, played in all 14 games this season for the Broncos as a true freshman. 

Boise State came into the game ranked No. 25 nationally and as  the 2017 Mountain West Champions after defeating the Fresno State Bulldogs Dec. 6 in the conference championship game. 

The Broncos (11-3) and Ducks (7-6) played the game at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas in a game televised nationally on ABC.

Evans, a 2017 graduate of Center, has appeared in every game for the Broncos as a true freshman. 

He finishes with 15 catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns. 

Evans is the first true freshman wide receiver at Boise State to have multiple touchdown catches in a season since 2009.
