- A chance to win one of 16 cash prizes, including a $10,000 Grand Prize (All prize money is shared equally with the winner’s school)
When Susan Turner, a 6th grade teacher from Hollywood, Florida received her LifeChanger of the Year nomination, she went online to read the comments posted on her nominee profile page and was touched by what she read.
“Christmas Eve – I have been sitting here in the quiet of my apartment reading all the comments parents, students and teachers have left on my profile page and I need to say that comments have become the best gift I have EVER received. Even if I were not to receive the award, the comments mean more than can ever be put into words.”
Turner was selected as a national winner and earned a cash prize which was shared with her school.
Winners will be selected at the beginning of 2018 by a national selection committee, comprised of past winners and education professionals.
In Spring 2018, cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 15 LifeChanger of the Year winners during surprise ceremonies at their schools. The top five finalists will be flown to the National LifeChanger of the Year Grand Prize Ceremony, which will be held in May 2018 in Bermuda.
Current nominee, Lisa Forney, an academic support administrator from Katy, Texas, said, “I am absolutely overwhelmed. I have already won in my heart and soul as a LifeChanger of the Year. I know that I am making a difference.”
