Joaquin One Act Play is collecting pennies to remember the victims of the Holocaust

“One Penny, One Life, Remembering the Lost.”

Joaquin One Act Play will be preforming a play about the Holocaust. While researching the Holocaust we happened across a program where students collected paper clips to remember the victims of the Holocaust.

It inspired us to come up with a program of our own, “One Penny, One Life, Remembering the Lost.” We would like to collect one (1) penny per person lost as a result of the Holocaust. Our goal is to collect Six Million Pennies. We would like to invite you to be a part of this project.

We also ask you to share any memories, experiences, or stories that you may have of this time person. Perhaps, you know of someone that has a story to share. Perhaps you have heard a story from a loved one.

We encourage you to copy and share this letter with friends, family, and acquaintances. All money donated, once we reach our goal, will be donated to both the Holocaust Museum and hurricane victims. Thank you again, and we look forward to hearing from you and for your support.

Sincerely, Mary Hovey-Joaquin Jr. High One Act Play and Students
