Here is a list of fall festivals, trunk or treats and other candy giving, family fun activities scheduled locally:

Today

• 4th Annual Halloween in the Hole: The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and John Burns  Farmers Insurance Agency will host the 4th annual Halloween in the Hole from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Center High School baseball field. All Shelby County businesses and organizations are invited to participate. Bring the family and enjoy a safe evening of fun! • Second Annual Timpson Community Fall Festival: The First Baptist Church in Timpson, 715 N. 2nd St, is hosting a free night of family fun from 6-8 p.m. Christian Magician and Illusionist “Tricky” Ricky Hanson will be perform for two Magic Shows, 6:15 & 7:15. Ricky has performed on Good Morning America and America’s Most Funniest People. Come early to make sure and get your seat for one of these performances. There will also be free food, games, door prizes and more. Bring a bag to put all of your goodies in! Last year we gave away over $800 in door and bingo prizes and we hope to do the same this year. Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend.  Logansport Trick or Treat on Main Street: Our neighbors across the river from Joaquin will be hosting a trick-or-treaet event on its Main Street starting at 4 p.m.

• Shelby County Cruisers Trunk or Treat:  Will be held at First Baptist Church in Center on from 5:30 p.m. until the candy is gone. 

• Movie in the Park: Join Farmers State Bank employees and their families for Movie in the Park at Portacool Park. Bring a blanket and a chair, fresh popcorn will be provided. Hocus Pocus starts at 6:30 p.m. and The Others will play at 8:30 p.m.

• Focused Care of Center Trick or Treating and Annual Costume Contest: All are invited at 4 p.m. for Trick or Treating and the costume contest. The contest will be judged at 4:45 p.m., with age groups being: 0-4, 5-8, and 10 and up! This is always one of our favorite events. • Center Christian Fellowship Hallelujah Night: Get ready for food, fun, fellowship, and games. This year the night of excitement will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Costume contest entrants need to arrive by 6 p.m. It is a Christian alternative to what the world calls “Halloween.” It is free. • Pleasant Grove MBC Fall Festival: The festival will begin at 6 p.m. at Pleasant Grove MBC, 87 North between Center and Timpson. There will be many carnival themed games, candy for the kids, nachos and popcorn, photo opportunity, cake walk, hayrides, and MORE! For more information contact Bro.
