Video and photo gallery: Louisiana football champs from Logansport High School honored at chamber dinner

The Logansport Chamber of Commerce used its fourth annual banquet to honor the Logansport High School football team, which won the 2016 Louisiana 1A championship last December. 

The championship was the school's second and first since 1995.

The program opened with a pep rally by the Logansport High School cheerleaders, band and flag line. 

John Russell made the opening remarks, while the Pledge of Alligance  was led by Norman Arbuckle. The National Anthem was perfromed by the band and followed by the innovation by Sister Nancy Wofford. 

Dinner was provided by Big Zach's.

After a video presentation, Russell introduced the featured speaker, Sandy Cimino. 

The band returned to the stage to play the Alma Mater.

Former coach Dale Morvan, who coached the 1995 championship team, made comments about his time coaching and introdcued his former quarterback -- and current head coach -- Kevin Magee. 

After Magee's speech, he was presentated the key to the city and a glass football trophy.
