Council awards grant contracts

Awarding grant management and engineering service contracts were the main items of business at the Dec. 22 meeting of the Tenaha city council.The contracts are for a Community Development Block Grant administered by the Texas General Land Office.

Grover Russell (center) was honored with a retirement reception Tuesday, Dec. 30, by the City of Center. Russell was retiring after 45 years of service to the city, first serving 32 years as city attorney and then 13 more years as munic ipal judge.
