The Board of Regents of Stephen F. Austin State University will convene a special called two-day meeting Friday and Saturday in the Montgomery Room and San Antonio Room B at the Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, 18700 John F. Kennedy Blvd.
8 a.m. FRIDAY, July 19
CALL TO ORDER IN OPEN SESSION
The board will immediately move to executive session for consideration of the following item: Consideration of Individual Personnel Matters Relating to Appointment, Employment, Evaluation, Assignment, Duties, Discipline, or Dismissal of an Officer or Employee, including but not limited to the president (Texas Government Code, Section 551.074) Presidential Search.
Estimated recess 9 p.m. The board will return to open session with no action expected.

CALL TO ORDER IN OPEN SEESION

Where appropriate and permitted by law, executive sessions may be held for the above listed subjects (Section 551.071). Possible action may be taken in open session on matters considered in executive session. The regents regularly scheduled quarterly board meeting begins on the SFA campus at 1 p.m. Sunday with an executive session expected to end at 5 p.m.
On Monday, Regents will convene in open session from 8 a.m. until approximately noon for meetings of the building and grounds committee and the academic and student affairs committee. After a 1:30 p.m. ground-breaking ceremony for the new Basketball Performance Center adjacent to Johnson Coliseum, regents will reconvene at 2 p.m. The afternoon schedule includes items to be discussed by the finance and audit committee and is expected to conclude at 4:30 p.m. The regents are expected to convene as a committee of the whole and will hear a report on the university’s strategic plan.
On Tuesday, the meeting will continue at 9 a.m. and is expected to end at 11 a.m.
