The League of Women Voters of Texas Reminds Voters: Texas Vote by Mail Ballots Must Be Received by Feb. 21!

Austin, Texas – Texas voters who plan to Vote By Mail, must mail their applications to their county elections office before Feb. 21. "We want to remind all Texas voters that applications to Vote By Mail for the March 3rd Primary Election are due to their local election official by Feb. 21, 2020," said Grace Chimene, president of the League of Women Voters of Texas. "The application needs to arrive by February 21st -- if a the application is postmarked Feb. 20, but arrives Feb. 22, you will will not be able to vote by mail! The League strives to ensure all Texans have the information they need to participate in elections that determine their future. We want to make it easy for every citizen's vote to count!"

 

It's easy to vote by mail! All registered voters who are over 65, sick or disabled, out of the county on election day and early voting, or in jail but otherwise eligible to vote may vote by mail. 

  • Print an application Check the Democratic Primary or the Republican Primary to receive the correct ballot.

  • Fill out and mail to your Early Voting Clerk in the county that you are registered to vote in

  • Voters should sign their application to vote by mail the same way they will sign their ballot.

 

The March 3rd Primary Election is important!  Texans will be voting on candidates to run in the General Election on November 3, 2020.
