Best of Shelby County 2023 is underway

Nominations and voting in the Light and Champion Readers’ Choice Best of Shelby County 2023 is underway.

Shelby County is a wonderful place to live and work, and the best of Shelby County competition celebrates the best our community has to offer.

Voting online to show appreciation for your favorites in a variety of categories for business, people, and life in Shelby County is easy. And it’s a fun way to recognize hard work and customer service efforts in the community.

Nomination and voting began Monday, June 19th at 12:01 a.m. and ends Sunday, July 9th, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Voting is once per hour per email address.

If you haven’t already, nominate your favorite business, person or organization and vote for this year’s Best of the Best in Shelby County in more than180 categories today.

Access the contest by logging on to The Light and Champion website and selecting the Reader’s Choice icon on the right side of the page.

Rules are simple. The contest celebrates Shelby County. Valid nominations are limited to businesses in Shelby County with a Shelby County business USPS deliverable address and accessible to customers at the time the contest started on June 19th. Businesses based outside Shelby County that do business in Shelby County are not eligible in the business categories, but people who work for business located outside Shelby County while living in Shelby with a Shelby County USPS mailing address are eligible in the people categories only.

The Light and Champion online contests and promotions are administrated by third-party companies specializing in coordinating and managing digital programs that will tabulate results and notify us when the contest ends. Winners will be announced in a special publication approximately three weeks after the contest closes.
