Tenaha to consider appointing JP to act as city judge on a temporary basis

Tax rate, budget for upcoming year also on Monday agenda

Tenaha City Council sets special meeting Monday to consider proposed budget and tax rate for upcoming year and to consider temporarily appointing Justice of the Peace Jackie Kirkwood to act as Tenaha's city judge.


Notice is hereby given that a special called meeting of the governing body of the City of Tenaha will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 @ 4:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Meeting Room located at 238 N. George Bowers Drive in Tenaha, Texas.  If while the meeting, any discussion on items on the Agenda should be held in executive session, the Council will convene in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code Section 551.101.

  4. Discuss and Consider Justice of the Peace Jackie Kirkwood to temporarily handle the City Judge act as City Judge. (ACTION)

  6. Adopt Advertise proposed tax rate of 0.211300 per $100 of value. (ACTION)
  8. Adjourn
