Center ISD Cross Country kicks off 2020 season

Long distance runners get an early start on the day

Head Center High School Cross County Coach Doug Boone and Assistant Coach Madison Holyfield welcomed about 30 potential Roughrider and Lady Rider long distance runners- to the team's initial meeting and practice session on Monday, Aug. 3.

Boone, in his third year of coaching cross country, said he has high expectations for the team. While the track around the football field continues to be worked as part of the installation of new artificial turf and upgrading of track and field components the gathering spot was the parking lot for the F.L. Moffett campus.

Until classes begin, practice sessions will be held from 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
