Center ISD board to consider applicants for athletic director/head football coach

Special meeting set for 6 p.m. Monday with replacing Barry Bowman on agenda

The Center ISD Board of Trustees has set a special meeting for 6 p.m. Monday with a closed executive session scheduled to interview candidates for the position of athletic director and head football coach among other items, according to the agenda.

Upon reconvening in open session the board may consider action to select and hire an athletic director/head football coach for the district.
The position became vacant after Barry Bowman, former athletic director/head football coach resigned on Dec. 10 when his resignation was accepted by the school board.

Adjournment If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E or Texas Government Code section 418.183(f).
