Shelbyville students reap medals at UIL Regional competition
Shelbyville High School Academic UIL students competed at the Region III-AA Academic UIL Meet at Panola College on April 12th and 13th. Receiving awards:
Trey Smith – 1st Place Number Sense
Trey Smith, Kurtrick Allen, Naquila Barnes Kiana Bennett – 1st Place Number Sense Team
Jasmine Osby – 2nd Place Computer Applications
Kurtrick Allen – 3rd Place Number Sense
Molly Windham – 3rd Place Ready Writing
Eli Taylor – 4th Place Prose Interpretation
Emily Brixey – 5th Place Informative Speaking
Chassity Davis – 6th Place Computer Applications
These competitors are coached by Cole Harrison (Number Sense), Claire Windham (Ready Writing), Mario Osby (Computer Applications), Jeane Taylor (Prose Interpretation) and Emily Sowell (Informative Speaking).
Trey Smith, Kurtrick Allen, Jasmine Osby, Molly Windham, Naquila Barnes and Kiana Bennett will compete at the Academic UIL State Meet on the University of Texas at Austin campus on May 3rd and 4th.
