Beef and Forage seminar scheduled locally for Nov. 13

Advance registration due by Wednesday, Nov. 7

The Shelby County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension service will host a winter forage seminar on Nov. 13.

Cost is $15 for people pre-registering and $20 at the door. The program is sponsored by Link Charolais and Corteva.

The program will provide attendees with three continuing education credits, according to Lane Dunn, county extension agent. It will be held in Center at the extension office gym.

Speakers and topic for the event will include Dr. David Anderson, economist with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, on predictions for the 2019 cattle market; David Mielke, with Coteva, providing an update on chemical and herbicide use; and Will Moseley, with the Noble Foundation Wildlife and Fisheries, discussing wild feral hog management.

People planning to attend are asked to reserve space with payment by Nov. 7. Checks should be made payable to Youth Ag Fund-Beef and Forage Seminar.
