Santa's Christmas Parade 2019 - Saturday, Dec. 7

The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Santa’s Christmas Parade was held in downtown Center under near ideal December parade weather.

The parade was presented by Shelby Savings Bank. The theme for this year’s parade was “Songs of the Season.” Parade Grand Marshal was Fannie Watson, Shelby County Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Distinguished Citizen of the Year. She was driven on the route by Leon Aldridge driving a classic 1950s era Ford Crown Victoria.

Winners of several parade entry categories are to be annouced on Monday, organizers said. Categories for the 2019 Parade included: Individuals, schools, businesses, churches and civic organizations. Judges will award cash prizes to the top three places in each category. The float competition sponsor is the City of Center.

Due to the construction on the downtown square, the parade route was slightly altered.
