Thursday, April 19

 

• Chicken Express will host an East Egg Hunt and photos wit the Chicken Express East Check from 4:30-5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at 323 Tenaha Street. Prizes will be awarded – including one for $100.

 

Friday, April 18

• Good Friday — most area schools are out

• Town and Country Real Estate Annual Easter Bunny Meet and Greet, 12-2 p.m., Friday, April 18, featuring free photos, refreshments, prizes and more. Free and open to the public, 114 Nacogdoches St.

• Holiday Nursing and Rehabilitation will host an Easter Egg hunt along with games, prizes and food beginning at 10 a.m. At 280 Moffitt Drive. The event is free and open to the public.

• Focused Care of Center will be hosting an Easter Egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the mini park near the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library.

 

Saturday, April 20

• Block Party and Easter Egg Hunt hosted by First Baptist Church at the pavilion and surrounding area at Portacool Park in Center, noon-2 p.m.Free and open to the public.

• Joaquin Spring Fling has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 20, from this past weekend due to storms.

The event will be on the downtown square in Joaquin beginning at 1 p.m. Included will be free pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, drawings for chocolate bunnies – get your free ticket on site. There will also be an Easter Bonnet contest and bonnets must be turned in by 1:30 p.m., with winners announced at 2 p.m., with categories of best traditional and most creative.

At 2 p.m. The egg hunt will beginning with about 800 eggs to be hidden for kids from walking up to 12 years old. Food and craft booths will be on site.

• Walmart in Center hosting an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at noon Saturday.
