First United Methodist Church of Center draws a crowd with Trunk-or-Treat

Annual event held on church parking lot Saturday evening, Oct. 26, 2019

First United Methodist Church of Center hosted the congregation's Annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 26 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m at 211 Porter Street.

The trunks were open and the SUV hatches were up as a steady throng of youngsters arrived dressed as super heroes, clowns, goblins, dinosaurs, princesses and more.

The family-friendly event was free and open to the community. It included activities, food, cake walk fun and trick-or-treating in the church parking lot.

Pastor Karen Jones said church members donate everything from their time to sponsoring the food as part FUMC’s community outreach and to share God’s love.

Church members will decorate their car trunks and hand out candy and other goodies. Hot dogs, chips and drinks are free while supplies last.
