Cemetery of the Innocents featuring 175 small wooden crosses to focus on abortions

Father Nelson Munoz said Center's St. Therese Catholic Church is among Catholic congregations and those of other denominations in the United States and around the world to display visual reminders like the Cemetery of the Innocents featuring 175 small wooden crosses. “We're praying for an end to abortions and want to remind people that life begins at conception,” he said. The mock cemetery is a memorial for “all who died without living” and a reminder to keep those souls in people's prayers, he said. The 175 wooden crosses signify an average of 175 baby Texas who die each day from abortions, he said.
