2019 Class of Leadership Shelby County hosts Saturday work day on 1885 courthouse grounds

Weeding, mulching, trimming and general cleanup work helps spruce up historic grounds

Members of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Leadership Class spent a good part of Saturday, June 22, on the grounds of the Historic 1885 Shelby County Courthouse grounds freshening up flower beds.

Weeding, trimming shrubs and bushes, placing down weed-block fabric, hauling mulch and mulching flower beds were among the chores worked on.

Mulch was donated courtesy of Harkness Litter Service and lunch was provided workers by Tyson Foods.
