ARTILLERY, FIELD CANNON DISCUSSION SET AT MANSFIELD STATE HISTORIC SITE

Program scheduled for 2 p.m., Feb. 23

On Saturday, February 23, park staff will offer a unique presentation on the different types of field cannon employed by artillery batteries during the Battle of Mansfield and the various types of ammunition used.

The program will begin at 2:00 PM inside the museum theater. How artillery batteries were organized and functioned in battle during the American Civil War will also be discussed.
