temporary closure of Ragtown Recreation Area
Ragtown Recreation Area on the Sabine National Forest is temporarily closed due to tornado damage sustained from last Thursday’s storm.
According to Angelina and Sabine District Ranger Kimpton Cooper, the recreation area sustained substantial damage to the buildings and other infrastructure. It will remain closed to public access until proper assessments and repairs can be completed and the facility is deemed safe to reopen.
