Business After Hours
The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with Mooney’s Emporium will welcome Chamber members and the public to a Business After Hours event on Tuesday, December 10th from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 107 San Augustine Street. Chelle Mooney will showcase the newest inventory items.
Mooney’s Emporium specializes in creating unique and personalized gifts and has a great variety of custom made tee shirts. Chelle carries a large selection of delicious gourmet jams, salsas and much more. She also sells Cypress Creek meats. Plan to stop by and do your Christmas shopping!! Refreshments will be served.

Sacred Sounds of the Season
The public is invited to attend Sacred Sounds of the Season at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the Center First United Methodist Church sanctuary. Choirs and individuals from across Shelby County will perform musical offerings that celebrate birth of Christ in this holy Christmas season.
SATURDAY, DEC. 14
Shelby County Outreach Ministries is gearing up for Praise 2019 set for 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, featuring choirs and youth groups from around the community.There will be singing, silent auctions, live auctions, door prizes and refreshments! Recognition will also be given to ministries partners and loyal churches that support the ministries. It will be held at the Senior Nutrition Site on Loop 500 in Center. Tickets for the event will be $10 each.

2019 LITTLE MISS MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MISTER HAPPY HOLIDAY PAGEANT

TIMPSON CHRISTMAS PARADE
Timpson Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 14th at 10 a.m. This year’s theme will be Christmas in Texas. This Christmas Parade is a joint venture with Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Timpson, Timpson High School, Timpson Volunteer Fire Department, Timpson Volunteer Ambulance Service and our towns stores and businesses. Special thanks to Joyce Moore and Marilyn Corder for making it happen. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trophies that will best fit this year’s theme, Christmas in Texas. Line up at Timpson school starting at 9:30. Everyone and anyone is invited to be in the parade and we hope our community will be there to enjoy.
SUNDAY, DEC. 15
“Let There Be Christmas” & Men's Breakfast
The public is invited to First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 15, beginning at 8:30 a.m. with Methodist Men's Breakfast and Sunday School at 9:00 a.m.
At 10 a.m. at our Combined Worship Service, the First UMC Chancel Choir and orchestra will present “Let There Be Christmas” a Cantata by Joseph M. Martin, under the direction of Chris Watlington, First UMC Music Director. This service in song is a joyous celebration of hope and peace for the Christmas season. From jubilant songs of praise to reflective carols of peace, this cantata is filled with moments designed to energize the spirit of the season in each of us.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH PRESENTS “FIRST CHRISTMAS”
The Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church, located at 117 Cora, will present “First Christmas”, a holiday gift to the community, Sunday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. The production will feature several choirs,
a living nativity, and all your favorite Christmas songs.
MONDAY, Dec. 16
The Golden Harvest Ministries Club will meet at 11:30 a.m., Monday Dec. 16 in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m.,. with a program which includes the singing of Christmas carols and the installation of officers for 2020.
Members are asked to bring a canned food item to be delivered to Shelby County Outreach. Visitors are always welcome to join the group for a delicious covered dish luncheon, an enjoyable program and time of fellowship.
THURSDAY, Dec. 19
Center Middle School and My Sister, Myself, invites you to a Christmas Extravaganza! This event will be Thursday, Dec. 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
So many fun activities are scheduled for you and yours, including our Christmas play performed by CMS students, performances by CMS cheer, dance, and pep squad, face painting, popcorn and hot chocolate, Boom Boom photo booth, silent cake auction, t-shirts and decorations for sale. Enjoy a brief slideshow in the library with photos of CMS students in various activities. CMS art classes will showcase student artwork and most important of all...SANTA will be available for photos! Cost for this event is just $10 for three people, or $5 for one person. All proceeds from the event will go to ‘My Sister, Myself’ for future activities to encourage our young ladies to pursue success.

Come help the Center Police Department Save Lives!! The holidays are a very important time to donate due to the demand for blood in hospitals being very high.
Please try to make time in your busy holiday schedule and show you care, by being selfless and giving to this cause.
One donation can help save 3 lives! Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be at the Center Police Dept on December 24th (Christmas Eve day) from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Set up Inside the Center Police Department Training Room (restrooms available).

Feast of the Nativity
St. John's Episcopal Church will host The Feast of the Nativity Christmas Eve Service with communion beginning at 3 p.m., Dec. 24. The event is open to the public. St. John's is located on Southview Circle, Hwy 96 South.
FIRST BAPTIST COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE
First Baptist Church, located at 117 Cora, will host a Community Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 6 p.m on Tuesday, December 24.
