Shelby County is included in Wednesday flood watch area
The National Weather Service in Shreveport on Wednesday morning issued a flash flood watch for parts of East Texas and Louisiana, including Shelby County.
A tornado watch is in effect until 5 p.m. through the region, including Shelby County.
The National Weather Service said: "You are in the enhanced area, so timing wise threat increases this afternoon thru tonight Storms in NW LA have already produced small hail."

The flash flood watch is in effect from 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning, forecasters said.
The flood watch area includes: Portions of Louisiana and east Texas, including the following areas, in Louisiana, Bienville, Caldwell, De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, and Winn parishes. In East Texas, Sabine, San Augustine and Shelby counties.
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1p.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. High near 77. South wind 15 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
