Center High tennis team off to an early winning season

The Center High School Roughriders Varsity tennis team improves to 4-1 record.

The Riders traveled to Whitehouse Friday, Aug. 24, and faced their toughest competition thus far.

Center lost 12-7 to the Wildcats, but played a number of close matches that could have gone either way, according to Coach Leon Dykes.

Center then played in their first home match Saturday, Aug. 25 as they hosted Jacksonville.

Dykes said the Riders came out on a mission after the Whitehouse loss and dominated most of the matches and pulled out all of the close matches for a 17-2 win.
