Recently documents were released to the Light and Champion thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, regarding communications between the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Tenaha Police Department, the documents contained include a set of grievences from both departments to each other as well as a reply from the Tenaha Police Department regarding issues the Sheriff of Shelby County, Willis Blackwell has with the department. Also there are a set of documents that include text messages between Joyce Moore and Willis Blackwell when asking him to attend her husbands funeral, as well as memo's that were released by Blackwell to his own deputies.

We have included the documents for you to read as well as an introduction video and video statement by Tenaha Police Chief Jeremy Pope via a second link below. Sheriff Willis Blackwell declined to comment or give a statement on this matter.
