Tenaha athlete signs with Wiley College for soccer

Tenaha senior Arlette Ramirez signed with Wiley College Tuesday, April 16 to play women’s soccer. The signing was held at the Tenaha Special Events Center where Tenaha soccer coaches and Athletic Coordinator Dee Lewis spoke. Arlette was joined by her family along with the Tenaha student body to celebrate her signing.

Tenaha’s Romero nominated Athlete of the Year

As captain, striker, and lead scorer of the soccer team, Dalia Romero of Tenaha High School demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities, advising and motivating her teammates. Dalia has maintained honor roll status throughout high school and is an active member of the JCC and Beta Club, boasting a GPA of 3.7.

All-District player awards for CHS girls basketball

Congratulations to the District Champion girls basketball team on several selection for all-district player awards. Honors included Most Valuable Player Lanaijha Johnson, Newcomer of the Year Journee Smith, First Team Team All-District Gabrielle Whisenant, Second Team Team, All-District Ed’neeuna Barnes and Kylie Hubbard, and Honorable Mention Ciara Jones.
