A large turnout benefitted the 6th Annual Boo’s Battle Support Fund Fall Festival of Hope Saturday, Oct. 28, on the Historic Courthouse square in downtown Center. A variety of food and retail vendors included a pumpkin patch with pumpkin painting and carving, cornhole tournaments, live music and auctions, cake walks, blood drives and more.

The Boo’s Battle Support Fund committee is made up of local supporters from Shelby County and surrounding areas who donate their time and effort.

Boo’s Battle Support Fund relies on individual donations as well as local fundraising events to raise money for the non-profit organization.

Event organizers did not have a final on the amount raised yet, but were optimistic that a large turnout indicated a successful fundraiser. All funds raised through Boo’s Battle goes towards the organization’s primary goal: helping families or individuals battling cancer.

Since its creation in 2018, the organization has helped provide financial assistance to a number of families and individuals in Shelby County Texas, DeSoto Parish Louisiana and surrounding areas.

For information or help on getting assistance, contact Boo’s Battle on their Facebook page, Boo’s Battle Support Fund.
